- An FTMO Verified Prop Trader is an FTMO US client who holds an FTMO Rewards Account initiated from the 1-Step or 2-Step FTMO Challenge products, or holds an FTMO Instant Account, and becomes eligible for their first Reward on that particular account.
- An FTMO Rewards Account is an account in which the FTMO US client is eligible for a monetary Reward, provided the rules are followed. Results on an FTMO Instant Account count towards the monetary Reward from day one, provided the rules are followed.
The journey of becoming an FTMO Verified Prop Trader via the 1-Step or 2-Step FTMO Challenge
Phase 1: FTMO Challenge
You trade on a simulated trading account and must meet all its Trading Objectives, such as the Profit Target and Consistency or Minimum Trading Days (depending on the product), without breaching your Maximum Loss Rule or Maximum Daily Loss Rule. FTMO assesses eligibility to pass the Challenge phase immediately, once you pass all Trading Objectives and close all trades. The Evaluation Process for the 1-Step FTMO Challenge ends with the FTMO Challenge phase; the Verification phase is not applicable.
Phase 2: Verification
For the 2-Step FTMO Challenge, the Verification phase represents a simplified continuation of the FTMO Challenge phase. You must pass the Verification phase to receive an FTMO Rewards Account.
Phase 3: FTMO Rewards Account
Once you pass the Evaluation Process and your results are confirmed, you will become an FTMO Verified Prop Trader and will receive your FTMO Rewards Account. Successful results on the FTMO Rewards Account earn monetary rewards, provided you follow the rules.

FTMO Instant Account does not include the FTMO Challenge or Verification phase. However, the Trading Objectives apply. Traders must still meet the Consistency requirement without breaching their Maximum Loss Rule or Maximum Daily Loss Rule. Successful results on the FTMO Instant Account count towards the monetary Reward, provided you follow the rules. You become an FTMO Verified Prop Trader once your first Reward is approved.
