The time required to become an FTMO Verified Prop Trader and receive an account where the results are counted toward your Reward depends on whether you participate in the 1-Step FTMO Challenge, the 2-Step FTMO Challenge or the FTMO Instant Account, as each product follows a different structure.
1-Step FTMO Challenge
Due to the Consistency rule, it is possible to complete the 1-Step FTMO Challenge in as few as 2 trading days, provided that exactly 50% of the total profit target is achieved on each of two separate trading days.
There is no maximum time limit to complete the 1-Step FTMO Challenge. Once all Trading Objectives are met and your trades are reviewed, you may proceed to the next steps toward obtaining an FTMO Rewards Account. In total, you can start trading on your FTMO Rewards Account after as few as 2 trading days. Results on the FTMO Rewards Account count toward the monetary Reward, provided the rules are followed, and you become an FTMO Verified Prop Trader by receiving the FTMO Rewards Account.
2-Step FTMO Challenge
The minimum requirement to pass the FTMO Challenge is to trade for at least 4 Trading Days (they do not need to be consecutive).
The same minimum requirement applies to the Verification phase, where you are again required to trade for at least 4 Trading Days.
There is no maximum time limit to complete the 2-Step FTMO Challenge, allowing you to progress at your own pace. Once all Trading Objectives are met and your trades are reviewed, you may proceed to the next steps toward obtaining an FTMO Rewards Account. In total, you can proceed to your FTMO Rewards Account after as few as 8 Trading Days. Results on the FTMO Rewards Account count toward the monetary Reward, provided the rules are followed, and you become an FTMO Verified Prop Trader by receiving the FTMO Rewards Account.
FTMO Instant Account
Your results count toward the monetary Reward right away, provided the rules are followed. You can request your first Reward 14 days after the first trade is placed, and you become an FTMO Verified Prop Trader once your first Reward is approved.
