A 'Forex Funding Challenge' is an industry wide established term used to describe a component of the Funding Program where traders must complete specific trading tasks and meet certain performance metrics to qualify for a simulated funded account – the FTMO Rewards Account. These challenges are designed to test a trader’s skills, discipline, and ability to manage risk. FTMO offers an account with up to $200,000 in a simulated capital.
What is a Forex Funded Trading Account
A 'Forex Funded Trading Account' is an industry-wide established term used to describe an account of simulated trading capital provided by a modern prop trading firm to traders who successfully complete the evaluation process. With FTMO, you can trade up to $200,000 on an FTMO Rewards Account. Traders manage this account using popular retail trading platforms like MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, or DXtrade, which allow them to open and control trades. While the capital involved is entirely simulated, a portion of the profits earned is awarded to the trader.
What is FTMO?
FTMO is a Modern Prop Trading firm established in 2015. Since then, we have been looking to cooperate with serious traders in order to capitalize on their trading data, while they earn rewards for their performance on simulated FTMO Rewards Accounts.
Before getting the FTMO Rewards Account, traders need to pass the Evaluation Process first.
What is a Modern Prop Trading Firm?
A ‘Modern Prop Trading firm’ is an industry-wide established term used to describe the dynamic and innovative business model that focuses on nurturing trading talent through rigorous evaluation programs, providing simulated funding, and offering rewards based on trading performance.
This model not only mitigates the financial risk for traders but also aligns their interests with the firm’s goal of achieving consistent profitability in the markets.
Is FTMO a forex prop trading firm?
While FTMO is often described as a forex prop trading firm, this term is somewhat inaccurate. FTMO does not limit itself to only simulated forex trading; instead, it provides trading opportunities across various markets on simulated retail trading platforms.
This broader scope allows traders to engage in forex, commodities, indices, and more.

At this stage, you no longer need to continue using the FTMO Challenge account. We will be automatically alerted that you have passed the Trading Objectives and will proceed to evaluate your results.

Restrictions for trading during selected news releases apply only to the Standard account type. The Swing account type does not have any restrictions on trading during any news releases.
