Daylight Saving Time Changes in Europe and the USA

Europe — Sunday, October 26th, 2025

From Sunday, October 26th, 2025, Europe will no longer observe Summer Time. The change occurs in Prague at 03:00 CEST, when clocks move back to 02:00 CET.

Please note that the Max Daily Loss is monitored based on Prague’s time, and the daily drawdown resets at midnight. During the week between October 27th, 2025, and November 2nd, 2025, the offset between Prague’s midnight and MetaTrader’s midnight will be 2 hours instead of the usual 1 hour. Be mindful of this temporary time difference to avoid any accidental breach of your Max Daily Loss.

If you are unsure when your Max Daily Loss resets, open your Account MetriX and hover your mouse cursor over Today’s permitted loss — the tooltip will show a countdown to the next reset.

USA — Sunday, November 2nd, 2025

From Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, the USA will end Daylight Saving Time. This change occurs on the trading platform at 10:00, when clocks are moved back one hour to 09:00. Starting Monday, November 3rd, 2025, the time offset between Prague (CET) and MetaTrader (GMT+2) will return to the usual 1-hour difference.

As always, please ensure you are aware of these time adjustments to prevent any unintentional breaches of your Max Daily Loss due to time discrepancies. For confirmation of the reset time, check your Account MetriX tooltip.

Each Friday at market close, the trading platform enters maintenance mode. During this window, trading may be disabled and access to the platform may be fully restricted.

Overnight rollover swaps are subject to regular changes and adjustments, reflecting, among other things, interest rate differentials and dividend adjustments. If you are holding positions overnight, please be reminded that it is your responsibility to check these swaps in the contract specification for each simulated symbol, and to adjust (if needed) and manage your positions accordingly. FTMO is not responsible for trading results affected by swap changes or adjustments.
